1. Team Event

1.1    In the preliminary rounds all teams will be drawn into sections. Each section will play matches in a round robin format to a pre-determined playing schedule.

1.2    The 2nd round will be played as a fixed knock-out format.

1.3    Order of play shall be determined by a toss of a coin. The winner of the toss will start the game first and all alternate legs or sets thereof in that respective match.

1.4    Teams are required to play as follows:

  • 701X 1 leg - Foursome
  • 501X 3 legs - 1st Pair
  • 701X 1 leg - Foursome
  • 501X 3 legs - 2nd Pair
  • 701X 1 leg - Foursome

1.5    Players once registered will not be allowed to play with any other team.

1.6    Each team shall consist of a minimum of 4  players.

1.7    The organiser reserves the right to change the format of play depending on the number of teams entered. All decisions of the organising committee shall be deemed as final

1.8    2nd Chance - Teams that did not make it to the Winners Pool during the Round Robin stage will battle out for the Team Event 2nd Chance in a knock-out format.

2. Pairs Event

2.2    The 2nd round will be played as a fixed knock-out format.

2.3    Order of play shall be determined by a toss of a coin. The winner of the toss will start the game first and all alternate legs or sets thereof in that respective match.

2.4    Pairs are required to play as follows:

  • 501 X 3 legs (Round Robin)
  • 501 X 5 legs (Knock-out stages)
  • 501 X 7 legs (Final)

2.5    Players once registered will not be allowed to play with any other pair.

2.6    Each Pair shall consist of 2 players and can consist of ladies and men.

2.7    The organiser reserves the right to change the format of play depending on the number of pairs entered. All decisions of the organising committee shall be deemed as final.


2.8    2nd Chance - Pairs that did not make it to the Winners Pool during the Round Robin stage will battle out for the Pairs 2nd Chance in a knock-out format.

 

3. Singles Event

3.1    In the preliminary rounds all players will be drawn into sections. Each section will play matches in a round robin format to a pre-determined playing schedule.

3.2    The 2nd round will be played as a knock-out format.

3.3    Order of play shall be determined by a toss of a coin. The winner of the toss will start the game first and all alternate legs or sets thereof in that respective match.

3.4    Singles are required to play as follows:

  • 501X 5 legs (Round Robin)
  • 501X 5 legs (Early Knock-out stages)
  • 501X 7 legs (Last 8)
  • 501 x 9 legs (Last 4)
  • 501 X 11 legs (Final)

3.5  Top 4 Seeds attending NZDC Tournament will be seeded into sections (Applicable to only Kiwi participation only).

3.6  Top 4 Seeds attending NZDC tournament qualifying through the section play will be seeded into the knock-out NZDC Tournament (Applicable to only Kiwi participation).

3.7  NZDC Ranking points will be awarded according to the NZDC Ranking Points or Highest Finisher (Applicable to only Kiwi participation).

Rules & Regulations

1.1    The Tournament will be played under NZDC rules.

1.2    All players are required to maintain the highest standard sportsmanship and conduct during play. The organising committee will take stern and immediate action against anyone who interferes whilst a player is throwing or preparing to throw or while other matches are in progress on adjacent boards.

1.3    Players or spectators are not allowed to smoke, vape or bring in or consume alcohol or eat food in the Tournament Hall at anytime.

Managers/Captains Briefing

1.1    A briefing for Team managers will be held at the home of Taranaki Darts Association which is based at the Waimea Bowling Club, 31 Waimea St, New Plymouth. The club will be open between 6pm and 10pm on Friday June 29. The actual draw will take place at 8.30pm. All team managers/captains are required to attend and witness the draw.

1.2    Team Managers or captains shall report to the tournament officials 15 minutes before the scheduled starting time of all matches.
